1978 San Fran Moma Artists Derby / Grateful Dead closing Winterland tee
From my personal collection, a 1978 San Fran moma artists soap box derby shirt, but on the back is the graphic from the 78 NYE closing show at winterland ft Grateful Dead, the blues brothers and new riders of the purple sage. This shirt is rare, and I believe the only one of its kind… it belonged to a fella that worked for GD, and his gf believed (couldn’t remember) that he had the back graphic added on this shirt for NYE— where blues brothers and new riders opened for the dead on the closing night of winterland, with the classic rose graphic done by kelley for GD. The artists soap box derby is a historic event that San Fran moma actually brought back a few years ago— showcasing amazing artists. Google it! I added some photos and link in my stories bc it looked/s like such a blast. Worn super thin and soft, has a pinhole on top left shoulder and very slight discoloring at top half— bleach would lift it but I don’t use bleach and you truly can not tell.
Laying flat measures 17.5” ptp, 25.5” long. Fits womens xs-m, men’s xs/s
